Devante Ramsey is an energetic and expressive wingback with a strong

attacking mindset and a relentless desire to improve. Naturally positive and

confident, he brings intensity, personality and work rate to every

environment he operates in. Devante is known for his ability to impact

games from wide areas, using pace, stamina and direct dribbling to stretch

opposition defences and create goal scoring opportunities for himself and

teammates.

His football journey began in street football, where he developed creativity,

flair and a love for one v one situations before progressing into Sunday

league at the age of 10. By 13, Devante had earned a place in academy

football, most notably with Walsall FC, where his technical development

accelerated and he gained valuable experience against elite youth

opposition. Despite being released, this period proved pivotal in shaping his

resilience and mentality, driving him to prove himself at every subsequent

level.

Since leaving the academy system, Devante has continued his development

through the Non‑League pathway while also progressing within the Pro

Chance programme. He has represented both Pro Chance FC and Derby

University, combining further education with a full-time professional

training environment. This has enabled him to gain valuable senior

experience, build consistency, and refine his tactical understanding.

Devante is effective both as a number 10 and as a wing-back, demonstrating

equal impact on either flank. His versatility, game intelligence, and

willingness to learn have been key components of his ongoing progression.
